“The friendly team at Anjou Navigation gave us a warm welcome at the harbour in Sablé-sur-Sarthe. We were quickly assigned our ‘Champigny’ boat and everyone chose their cabine! It was quick and easy to get used to the boat thanks to Guillaume’s basic training session.
Spending two weeks on this magnificent boat on the Sarthe and the Mayenne was the best thing we have ever done. An unrivalled landscape with an endless number of castles and beautiful manors, clean and flowery towns and villages, lockmasters who are always free for a friendly chat. We also have fond memories of the restaurants, where the food was excellent and good value.
Our favourite moment is undoubtedly watching the sun rise every morning on the deck. Wrapped up tightly in our quilts, we thoroughly enjoyed watching and listening to nature waking up… It became our morning ritual. Our first experience on the water was a great success, we’ll definitely do it again!”
