Malicorne

Town of stoneware and arts and crafts

A history of clay

Malicorne-sur-Sarthe bears the French ‘Town of Arts and Crafts’ label and is well-known for its elegant and delicate pierced stoneware. This town is heaven-on-earth for creators, and often welcomes pottery artists, among others…

The tour is this way…

At the Museum of stoneware and pottery, a ‘Musée de France’, come and visit the inside of the kilns, discover some ancient pottery items or contemporary pieces that reflect a specific period, lifestyle or artistic movement. Whether you are with friends or family, have some fun during your tour creating a Barbotine decorated piece, or sign up to one of the workshops, led by professionals.
