The "Vélobuissonnière"

Set off on your bike across the French countryside, along the Vélobuissonnière®, the latest addition to the French network of cycle routes!

Between Alençon and Saumur, this cycle route runs along small country roads and is ideal for families or groups of friends looking for a relaxing experience and a change of scenery. 

Along the route, you’ll discover:

–  some fantastic natural landscapes: the valleys of the Alpes Mancelles, the banks of the Sarthe as the sun sets, etc.

– some great little spots to take a break: in front of the half-timbered houses in the Medieval town of Le Mans, up on the terrace of the Château de Saumur or at the town squares in some of our remarkable towns and villages,

– art and crafts workshops and traditional little shops: Alençon needle lace (UNESCO), the Malicorne pottery workshops, the windmill in Fillé…

– some refreshing and leisure activities: canoeing ou electrique surfing on the Sarthe, treetop adventure course, wakeboarding, zoos and much more.
