Visit the Marble Museum. Discover the history of marble quarrying in the region since the 17th century.

The museum showcases marble, the quarries, the various activities associated with this noble stone, the tools used, the role of shipping, and the wide-ranging uses of marble both in ornamentation (altarpieces, altars, holy water fonts, etc.) as well as in construction (bridges, walls, etc.) A video lasting approximately 30 minutes recounts the history of the marble industry over the years in the Sablé-sur-Sarthe region.
