The museum showcases marble, the quarries, the various activities associated with this noble stone, the tools used, the role of shipping, and the wide-ranging uses of marble both in ornamentation (altarpieces, altars, holy water fonts, etc.) as well as in construction (bridges, walls, etc.)
A video lasting approximately 30 minutes recounts the history of the marble industry over the years in the Sablé-sur-Sarthe region.
