Some fifty visual works from 1945 to 2025, brought together in front of Solemes Abbey, praise the tree. Like poets and musicians, woodland landscapes have inspired many visual artists. Artists have often identified with trees, giving them a very special character in their representations by expressing their personality. The tree of life, the mysteries of the forest, the resilience of nature... Modern figures of international renown are associated with those, especially from Manche or Sabol, of contemporary art.
