Église Saint-Sylvestre

Historic site and monument, Church in Malicorne-sur-Sarthe
  • Romanesque style church

  • Less well known than the earthenware factories, the Church of Saint-Sylvestre dates back to the 11th century. Characteristically Romanesque, it is one of the oldest churches in Maine and houses the 16th-century recumbent of the warrior lord Guy de Chaources. The church is open to the public and was renovated in 2009.
