Max, an old man in a hurry, takes the same route into town every day. He doesn't take the time to look around, until one day, when he comes across a snail, he chooses a different route... This is the start of an amazing journey, full of encounters and adventures! Juan Perez Escala tells us this marvellous story with a clever stage set-up - a revisited carousel - and magnificent puppets. He deploys all the magic and poetry of his universe to offer an ode to childhood, imagination and contemplation. In praise of slowness and side-stepping, Chemin des métaphores invites us to look at the world through different eyes. A little gem!
