Atelier Famille "Mises en Couleur Photographique"

Although colour photography only came into common use in the 1960s, it's not unusual to find much older photographs enhanced with colour in family albums.
The Atelier Malicot invites you to discover the techniques used to transform the black and white photographs of our ancestors using watercolours or pastels.

By examining some of the photographs in the Atelier Malicot's collections, you can see for yourself just how skilful photographers were back then. And you, in turn, will be able to work with our animators to colourise black and white photographs.
