Description
The château was built in the 19th century. Of modest proportions, it has been well preserved and houses original interior decorations as well as others in the Art-Deco style (mosaics) created in the 1930s.
The main attraction is the English-style landscaped park created in 1873 by Edouard André. This park stretches along the side of a hill and features an irregular layout with large monumental trees and exotic species such as sequoia, cedar, ginko, juniper, taxus and bamboo.
There are no flowerbeds, and the park has a steep gradient (100 m from the lowest to the highest point), making it difficult to access for people with reduced mobility or in poor physical condition. Access from Parigné-le-Polin: Follow the signs to "Centre Equestre de la Vallée".
