10 am – Visit the La Sablésienne Biscuit Museum

Step inside the museum and be tempted by the delicious smell of fresh butter and freshly baked Sablé biscuits.

During your visit, discover the history of the famous Petit Sablé biscuit, watch traditional biscuits being made, learn more about local craftsmanship through an immersive film… and finish your visit with a delicious tasting experience for the whole family to enjoy!

11 am – Explore Sablé-sur-Sarthe

After visiting the biscuit museum, continue your exploration in the Château park before wandering through the historic streets of the town centre.

Take a delicious break at two of Sablé-sur-Sarthe’s iconic biscuit shops, Maison Drans and La Sablésienne, before heading to the harbour for a relaxing moment by the river.

Finish your walk at the Sarthe Valley Tourist Office shop, where you can pick up delicious local products and take home a taste of the region.

12 pm – Enjoy a lunch cruise on the Sarthe River

Step aboard Le Sablésien for a three-hour lunch cruise combining beautiful landscapes, local heritage and relaxation.

Along the way, admire Sablé Castle and the Abbey of Solesmes, discover the river locks and listen to the captain’s commentary as you cruise along the Sarthe. Book in advance – places fill up quickly!

3 pm – Visit a museum or walk to Solesmes

After your lunch cruise, choose between a cultural visit and a peaceful walk through the countryside.

Discover the À l’Homme Volant Museum, dedicated to the history of aviation, or visit the Atelier Malicot, a former 19th-century photography studio.

Fancy some fresh air? Follow the riverside towpath to Solesmes. This pleasant 6 km round-trip walk follows the Sarthe River and leads you to the magnificent Saint Peter’s Abbey, beautifully located on the riverbank.

5 pm – Enjoy a refreshing break at the Guinguette de Sablé!

End your day on a relaxing note at the riverside guinguette. Sit back on the terrace with a drink in hand, admire the view of Sablé Castle and soak up the friendly atmosphere along the banks of the Sarthe.
