  • This tour will take you to three delightful villages with a wealth of heritage to discover.

  • In Longnes, at the crossroads of two ancient roads, take a good look at the simple but beautiful 12th-century Romanesque church dedicated to Saint Peter and Saint Paul.

In front of you, on the right, is Mont Livois with its partly 15th-century manor house and 2 cypress trees in front.

In Longnes, at the crossroads of two ancient roads, take a good look at the simple but beautiful 12th-century Romanesque church dedicated to Saint Peter and Saint Paul.

In Epineu, the church is dedicated to Saint Fraimbault and Saint Antoine, occupies the heart of the village and dates from the 11th and 15th centuries. On leaving the village, on the left, the Manoir de la Cour has unusual stone finials on its gables. On the right, the Manoir de la Gagnerie has an original L-shaped floor plan and square tower.

The tour then takes you through the countryside with a beautiful view of the River Vègre.

In Chassillé, the church of Saint Eloi was rebuilt in the 19th century on a Romanesque base.

The footbridges over the Vègre mark the old lower exit from the village.
