Today, in the centre of France. The "Marilou" factory, one of the jewels in the crown of women's underwear production, is closing its doors. Its two hundred workers - seamstresses, formerly known as "midinettes" - are being made redundant. Determined to fight for their jobs and their dignity, they decided to occupy the factory.
